Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Williamson
Elizabeth Jane Williamson “Betty” or “Grandma”, 90, of Dover, Florida, went to sleep in Christ on June 16, 2018. She is survived by her sons, Doyle and Robert (Sammie) Williamson and a daughter, Martha McCracken (Bob) and 8 grandchildren,16 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, C.H., her son John and her siblings Eugene, Sturgis Clark, Virginia Lawrence, Annie Cochran, Maude Bembry. Betty grew up in Palmetto Beach Florida. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School and was voted prettiest girl in her class. She and C.H. resided in Dover Florida the past 50 years and she was a faithful long-time member of Dover Advent Christian Church. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother and friend and loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and playing her piano and spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed until the trumpets sound and we meet again. Services will be held at Dover Advent Christian Church, 14202 Downing Street, Dover, FL 33527 on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11AM. Visitation will be held at Church on Thursday morning between 10-11AM. Interment will follow after service at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592. Flowers are welcome or donations can be made in Elizabeth’s memory to the Advent Christian Village, 10680 Dowling Park Drive Live Oak, FL 32060.
