Delores Parker, a native of Suffolk, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at her residence in Richmond, Virginia.
She was born on October 9, 1930 in Suffolk, Virginia to the late David and Inez Gray DeLoatch.
Delores graduated from East Suffolk High School in 1949 and briefly attended Elizabeth City State College. Delores received her Practical Nursing diploma from Medical College of Virginia (now VCU Health System), where she retired after 30 years of service.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Thurman L. Parker; daughter, Sharon P. Parker; and siblings, David Wadell Sr., Edward, Quincy, Arminta and Grace; niece, Sandra J. DeLoatch, Ph.D.; and nephews, David DeLoatch Jr. and Johnny DeLoatch Sr.
Delores is survived by daughters, Valerie and Karon Parker; grandson, Marcus J. Parker; sister, Vasti DeLoatch, Ph.D., all of Richmond.
