NOVEMBER 17, 1940 ~ JUNE 17, 2018 (AGE 77)

Joe Everett Watson, age 77, of Brandon, passed away on
Sunday, June 17, 2018 at St. Dominic’s Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11:00am at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon with visitation starting at 9:00am until service time. Rev. Jeff Walker will be officiating.

A Graveside Service will be at 4:00pm at Smithville Cemetery in Smithville, MS.

Joe was born in Brandon, MS on November 17, 1940 to the late

J.W. Watson and Grace Shedd Watson.

Joe was an active member at Grace Baptist Church. He retired as Director of the Boys and Girls Club. Joe was known as an outstanding basketball player at Pelahatchie High School and MS College. He loved watching and playing sports, working in the yard and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was known as “The Hermit” at John I. Hay with Boys and Girls Club.

his wife of 53 years, Jeanne Watson;

children, Kim Harrington May, Kelli Jo Donnell (Steve), and Keri Nash Watson (Amy);

siblings, Billy Watson (Barbara), Tony Watson (Lana), and Sue Winstead;

grandchildren, Courtnee Summerlin, Logan Harrington, Nash Harrington, Karlee Ledbetter, Kelsee Ledbetter, and Kirkland Ledbetter; great-grandchildren, Eden Eliza, Izabella, Summerlin, and Blakely Jo Fondren;

other relatives and friends.
