Ronald Neugebauer, 44, Menoken, North Dakota, was born October 9, 1947 in Bismarck, the son of Arnold and Hilda (Ghylin) Neugebauer. He was raised on the family farm north of Menoken and attended schools in Menoken and Bismarck. He graduated from Bismarck High School and from North Dakota State University with a bachelor of science degree. He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968, with duty in Vietnam and Thailand.

Ron married Maureen Sherman on May 30, 1972 in Bismarck. They had been engaged in farming and ranching north of Menoken since their marriage.

Ron died at the family home near Menoken on January 26, 1992.

Ron and Maureen both enjoyed nature and hunting, fishing, and traveling together. They were both certified scuba divers. Ron was presently serving as president of the Menoken School Board and was past treasurer of Menoken Township.

He is survived by one son, Michael; mother, Hilda Neugebauer; sister and brother-in-law, Marlys and Ray Frandsen, Bismarck; and brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Darla Neugebauer, Menoken. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Neugebauer, who died in 1990.
