She was born August 29th 1936 at Grafton, WV, a daughter of the late Merle William and Lillie M. Simmons Bolliger. On January 5th, 1957 at Grafton, WV she was united in marriage to Charles R. Taylor who survives at their home.
In addition to her husband she is survived by four children; Terry Taylor and fiancé Mickey Knavenshue, Elkins, Shirley Lewis and husband Mike, Beverly, Sheila Arbogast, Elkins, Charlene Talbott and husband Michael, Belington, and one brother Murrell E. Bolliger and wife Kay, Winchester VA. Grandchildren surviving are Clint and Alexis Taylor, Ashley Sims, Taylor Talbott Matlick and husband Elijah, Lillie Faye Talbott, Michael Lewis and wife Jenna, and Stacey Lewis and fiancé Ryan, great-grandchildren, Trenton, Gabriel, and Braxton Sims, Jackson and Dawson Matlick, and Nora Lewis. Additional survivors include nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and her caring helpers Dolly Collier and Betty Hale.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Ann Shreve.
Lee Ellen attended the schools of Taylor County and was a homemaker. She had many artistic talents which shown through her most admired quilting, crocheting, sewing and cooking. She enjoyed working with her photos, collecting family history, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N Brandenburg Street, Belington on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 6-9 pm and again on Wednesday June 20, 2018 from 8am to 11am the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Jack Howell officiating.
