Phyllis Ione, daughter of L.C. and Julia Thompson was born on March 5, 1929 at Grafton, ND, where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from Grafton High School and then attended Concordia College, Moorhead, MN earning her teaching degree. Phyllis taught in the Milnor Public School system for 38 years before retiring, teaching both her children and grandchildren.

In Milnor, she met her husband Marlyn Bogart. They were married June 21, 1953 and blessed with three children; Mark, Mary Beth and Michael. Marlyn passed away December 9, 2009.

Phyllis was an active member of Milnor Lutheran Church, serving as WELCA president three times, was a Sunday School teacher, Quilting and Day of Doing member. Phyllis was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and served on the Sargent County Fair Board.

Phyllis loved quilting, knitting, spinning wool, playing scrabble, summers at their lake home, and most of all she loved her family and her numerous friends.

She is survived by two sons Mark (Jill) Bogart, Milnor, ND and Mike (Robin) Bogart, Fargo, ND; son-in-law, Robert Martin, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Matt (Amy) Bogart, Cole (Angie) Bogart, Austin (fiancé Sara) Martin, Walker (Erika) Martin, Brittany Bogart and Julia Bogart; great-grandchildren, Drew, Mason, Chloe, Mallory, Blake and Leighton; and a sister, June Hebbel.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marlyn, daughter Mary Beth, two brothers and five sisters.
