Newark - A celebration honoring the life of Amy Jo Ellis will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 7 p.m. at The Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, with Vicar Judd Delancey, officiating.
Amy Jo Ellis, 43, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus. She was born August 7, 1974 in Newark, Ohio to Thomas E. and Connie M. (Maier) Ellis.
She was employed by Englefield Oil Company, Heath, for 24 years as an Executive Administrative Assistant. Amy was an enthusiastic Cleveland Indians fan and loved all animals especially dogs. She was a lover of music, especially the band, Guns N' Roses. Most of all Amy was proud to be the mother of her only daughter, Bailey Michelle Smith, who attends Ohio University in Athens.
Amy was survived by her loving daughter and parents; sister, Jennifer (Kristopher) Settles; brother, Thomas "Tommy" Ellis; nephew, Owen Settles; and niece, Avery Settles.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 p.m. prior to the service at The Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath on Thursday, May 10.
