"Mrs. Kersey Wallingford passed away at 10:30 yesterday morning at her home at Tollesboro, after an illness of about two weeks. She was one of the good women of that vicinity and quite well known. Deceased was 51 years of age and is survived by three children--Mrs. B. C. Grigsby, and Miss Ella Wallingford of Tollesboro and the Rev. Amos Mattingly of Madison, Ind. The funeral will take place from her late home at 9'o'clock tomorrow morning, the interment being in East Fork Cemetery about noon."

In regards to the information in this obituary, Mrs. Bert Carl Grigsby was Hallie Boyd Rowland, step-daughter of the deceased, while the Rev. Amos Mattingly was the husband of her other step-daughter, Malinda Irene Rowand. These girls were the daughters of her husband James Boyd Rowland's first wife, Maria L. Farrar. Miss Ella Wallingford was the daughter of Mariah from Mariah's second marriage to Kersey Wallingford.
