Oma Allison Russell, 72, of 5097 Watson Rd., Loudon died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001. She was a retired employee of Maremont and was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garnett and Mary Miller Allison; sister, Annis Whitehead.
Survivors include husband, Wilbert Russell; sons and spouses, Danny and Patsy Thornburg of Loudon and Rex and Sandra Blankenship of Athens; grandchildren, Tracy Trout and husband, Michael of Loudon and Keith and Crystal Blankenship of Athens; great grandson, Brayden Trout; sister, June Viars and husband, W.C. of Loudon; half sisters, Peggy, Patsy, Fannie.
Funeral service was 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Kirkland and Rev. Oley Russell officiating. Family and friends met at Loudon County Memorial Gardens at 10:30 a.m. Thursday for graveside services. The family received friends 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Loudon Funeral Home.
