Funeral Services for Kevin will be at 11 AM Tuesday June 19 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with his uncle, Bro. Harry Cousins, Jr. officiating. Personal Reflection will be given by long time friend, Mr. Ralph Skinner. Burial will follow in New Hope Methodist Cemetery near Ripley.
Kevin was born on May 27, 1977 in Ripley and is the son of David L. and Lynette Garner Johnston of Ripley. He received his education at Ripley High School and at Northeast Mississippi Community College.
A Christian and member of New Hope Methodist Church, Kevin was an avid reader of the King James Bible. He was passionate about learning and sharing his knowledge with others. A multi-talented person, Kevin will be remembered as a "jack of all trades" who was gifted in many areas. He worked with his father on the family farm, was a self-employed carpenter and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, deer and turkey hunting. Blessed with a large circle of family and friends, Kevin leaves a legacy of memories that will not be forgotten.
Visitation for Kevin will be Tuesday from 9 AM until 11 AM at The Ripley Funeral Home.
In addition to his parents, Kevin is survived by a sister, Julie Johnston Wright (Mark) of Hernando, a nephew Billy Wright of Hernando , special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Skinner and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
