Donna Lea Stuart Ewing, age 80, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, returned to her heavenly home in the early morning of September 28, 2017.

Donna was born November 27, 1936, in Rock Island, Illinois, the fourth of four children born to her parents Walter & Gladys Stuart. She married the love of her life, Richard K. Ewing (Dick), on April 12, 1958, and was later sealed to him for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. They were blessed with four children, her life's joy, but Donna was a mother to many. With a chosen career of caring for children in her home, many were blessed by the love of this great woman.
Donna also had a great love for those who had gone on before her. She was an avid genealogist and served as the president of the Whatcom Genealogical Society for a number of years. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she devoted much of her time to Family History and also to the youth of the church. She and her loving companion served two missions for the church; first in the Everett Washington Mission and secondly at the Western Washington University Institute of Religion. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother.

She is survived by her eternal companion Dick, her children and their spouses, Nanci & Chris Castle of Albuquerque New Mexico, Richard & Claudia Ewing of Petropolis Brazil, Rodney & Vanessa Ewing of West Linn Oregon and Janet & Quinton Moffatt of Wasilla Alaska, her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren whom we know she is watching over.
To our loving mother whom we love and cherish with all our hearts, we say thank you for sharing with us your love and compassion. Thank you for sharing with us your love for our Father in Heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ and teaching us that families can be together forever. Thank you for your watching over us as we know you are so willingly doing right now. Mom, God be with you till we meet again.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2925 James St, Bellingham WA 98225, on Saturday October 14, 2017, at 11:00am. Please share your thoughts and memories online at, www.sigsfuneralservices.com
