Joseph Albert was the lastborn child of François-Xavier & Suzanne Albert; and his birth (on May 16) and his christening (on May 28) are documented in the Ste-Luce parish registers in Frenchville. It's presumed that Joseph died as an infant or child, sometime before 1870, and that he was buried in Eagle Lake. No record has yet been found to verify his death and burial; but he was enumerated in the 1860 U.S. Census as a one-month-old infant — and his name was missing from the 1870 census.

Note: There's no mention of Joseph's burial in the parish registers in Frenchville; but it's alternately possible that Joseph was buried in Saint Joseph's Cemetery in Wallagrass.
