LIBERTY TOWNSHIP- Beverly H. West, 83, formerly of Hubbard, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Liberty Health Care Center with her loving family by her side.
Beverly was born Oct. 22, 1934, in Girard, a daughter of Frank and Blossom Campbell Tillery. She was a 1952 graduate of Girard High School. Beverly was a foster parent for more than 30 years and a member of the New Life Christian Fellowship, and she started the first TOPS group in Hubbard.
Her husband, Thomas R. West Jr., whom she married July 27, 1958, passed away April 10, 1979.
She will be sadly missed by her family; her children, Daniel (Kathy) West of Live Oak, Fla., Jo Ann (Jim) Donahue of Hubbard, and Thomas “Pete” West of Boardman; 11 grandchildren, TJ (Michele) Donahue, Rebecca (Brian) Lytle, Michael (Shelby) West, Jessica (Troy) Baird, Justin West, Danielle (Josh) Schneider, Crystal Adams, Matthew (Sofia) Wagner, Christopher (Rebecca) Wagner, James Vaughn and Thomas Vaughn; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She also leaves her siblings, Kenneth (Carol) Tillery of Yoakum, Texas, Jo Ann Howell of Michigan, Ruth (Dale) Stocker of Cortland, Pete (Debbie) Tillery of Girard, Sharon (Jimmy) Stanton of Transfer, Pa., Kathryn (Wendell) Wetzel of Warren, and Toni Tillery of Girard.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Patty Ann Vaughn; her grandson, Steven West; her brother, Mike Tillery; her nephew, John Tillery; and her brother-in-law, Bob Howell.
Beverly will be laid to rest at Lake Park Cemetery.
There will be calling hours prior to the service on Friday, June 22, 2018, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the New Life Christian Fellowship in Liberty Township.
