Leslie Cunningham, 75, of Genoa, Nebraska, formerly of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, June 15, 2018, at the Genoa Community Hospital.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, at 1:00 PM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Rev. Murry Jay Johnston officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and continue on Tuesday from noon until service time, all at the funeral home.
Leslie John Cunningham was born on August 17, 1942, to Newman and Norma (Cannon) Cunningham in Waukegan, Illinois. He attended Warren Township High School, where he participated in football and wrestling, and graduated in 1960.
In 1967, Leslie was united in marriage to Anne Schell in Waukegan, Illinois, and to this union, one son was born.
Leslie received his degree in tool and die in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before moving to Nebraska. He worked for a short time at Fleischer Manufacturing in Columbus, before going to work for Gehring Construction, where he was employed for many years until his retirement.
Leslie enjoyed painting, music, singing, going to church, listening to radio preachers, and visiting with his friends.
