LAMB, RUSSELL DALE, 68, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2006.

He was a native of Asheville, NC, an Army veteran, and a graduate of North Carolina State University. He retired from the Kentucky Ford Truck Plant with 35 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and generous friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris P. Baker; father, John Lamb; and his son, Gregory M. Lamb.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, George Ann (Green) Lamb; daughters, Michele Richardson (Arnie), Maureen Quarles (Craig Gray), Teresa Owens (David), and Julia Lamb (John Newton); sons, Timothy Lamb (Susan), Christopher Lamb (Christine), and Joseph Lamb (Donna); brother, Richard M. Lamb; and 17 grandchildren who agreed he was the smartest man in the world.

His funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at The Church of the Epiphany, 914 Old Harrods Creek Rd. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday and 2-8 p.m. Monday at the Pearson-Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Rd., Middletown. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Gregory Lamb Scholarship Fund c/o Trinity High School, 4011 Shelbyville Rd., Louisville, KY, 40207.
