In 1946, Lois was united in marriage to Robert O. Riley in Coddington County, South Dakota. After moving to the Montevideo area, Lois was employed at South Town Bakery where she was lovingly known as the ‘Donut Queen’. She also worked at the Chippewa County Court House cafeteria and at Prairie Five Wear & Share.
Lois was active in her church and enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing and fishing. She was a devoted wife and loved to visit with her family and friends.
In the morning hours of Tuesday, April 17, 2018, Lois was called from this life while a resident of Luther Haven Nursing Home. She was 87 years of age.
She is survived by her children - Robert (& Sue) Riley of Granite Falls, Beverly Brooks of Fort Pierce, Dianna Riley of Benson, Judy (& Clint) Lecy of Montevideo, Garry (& Kim) Riley of Montevideo, and David (& Joyce) Riley of Montevideo; 2 brothers - Donald Fuoss of Madison, and Dick (& Sandy) Fuoss of Hendricks; sister - Bonnie (& Denny) Hoyles of Marietta; 43 grand, great, & great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Riley (in 1996); her daughter Theresa Muth; grandchildren Fredrick Struck, Nichole Riley and sisters Shirley Nelson and Dorie Higgins.
