The sky is a little brighter now that mom has been reunited with Dad.Jacqueline “Jackie” I. May, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 with her children by her side. Mom struggled the last four years with vascular dementia–such a dreaded disease that took so much-but she knew us till the end. She is free of pain and celebrating with Dad. Mom met and married the love of her life, Joe on August 31, 1950. Our parents had a wonderful life together-family was always the core of their lives.Mom was preceded in death by parents, John and Edith (Bates) Jewell; loving husband, Joe and sister, Beverly. She is survived by son, Jeffrey; daughter, Jill (Jim) Easterling; granddaughter, Ashley (Michael) Romano; great-granddaughter, Riley Romano and great-grandson, Ryan Romano; dear friend, Cheryl Buswell; as well as many other family and friends. We would like to personally thank the aides and nurses that so lovingly cared for mom. Samantha, Gina and Carolyn from Brookdale Montrose; the team of nurses and aides from Summa Hospice, Pam, Jessica, Andrea, Mike, Renee, Kim, Yvonne and many others. Your loving care for mom was selfless and tireless.
