Daniel Michael Reber, 67, formerly of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016 in Prescott, Arizona, after suffering a heart attack. Mike (“Dan” to many of his friends) was born June 14, 1949 in Breckenridge, Minnesota. A graduate of Concordia College and William Mitchell College of Law, he was a bright, engaging man with a dimpled smile and a genuine love for people. He was a licensed attorney, but his life’s calling was as a foster care father and he chose to serve children with the most challenging needs.
He is survived by his brother, Jon (Gail), Foxhome, Minnesota; sister, Jan Grannes, Des Moines, Iowa; sister, DiAnn K. (Stan) Fure, Bella Vista, Arkansas; sister, Karen Halverson, Abercrombie, North Dakota; sister-in-law, Corinne (Brand) Reber, West Fargo, North Dakota; and 20 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom he adored. Special appreciation is given to niece, Sue (Reber) McCormack and her husband, Marty, for taking care of final arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred; mother Applonie (Albrecht) Reber Hartleben; brother, Jerry.
