KAREN LOUISE MOLL (nee THOMES, GUBSER)

Karen Louise Moll of Indialantic, Florida went home to be with the Lord on 6/8/2018. She was just 72 years old. Beloved wife of 41 years to David A Moll, RSA (Retired US Army, FAA). She was predeceased by husband Charles W Gubser, DVM and parents Joseph and Virginia (nee Steffen) Thomes. Devoted mother of Charles P Gubser (Melanie) of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; Jeffery D Gubser of Repton, Alabama; and Jennifer Lea Coar (J. Martin) of Pennsauken, New Jersey. Blessed grandmother to Michael C Fiduccia and Gabriel J Fiduccia of Tabernacle, New Jersey. Loving stepmother to Michael A Moll, MD (Lori) of Walsenburg, Colorado; Elizabeth A Moll (Bobby Martin) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Marie D Niemtschk (Michael) of Phoenix, Arizona.

Sister to Mary Jo Braun (Southgate, Kentucky); Leslie Thomes (Fort Thomas, Kentucky); Patricia Frey (Cincinnati, Ohio); Greg Thomes (Perry Park, Kentucky); Suzanne English (Cincinnati, Ohio); Lisa McEdwards (Sunman, Indiana); Marilyn Gorres (Dry Ridge, Kentucky); Joseph Tomes, DVM (Cincinnati, Ohio); and David Thomes (Florence, Kentucky).

Karen graduated from Our Lady of Providence High School (Newport, Kentucky) in 1964. Because of her beauty, she participated in the Miss Auburn Pageant (Auburn University, Alabama) in 1967. Then she made raising her children and homemaking her first priority. She did volunteer as an EMT for the Somers Point, New Jersey, Rescue Squad and later earned her Paramedic Certification so that she could help more people in and around Atlantic County, New Jersey. Fluent in sign-language, she frequently interpreted church services for the deaf and disabled. She was a licensed Home Health Aide, and a Chaplain for New life Church. Once her children were grown, she accompanied her husband in international travel and said their two visits to Israel were her favorite. She was baptized by her husband in the Jordan River in 2000. She instructed her children and everyone she loved in the way of the Lord – always apt to lead prayer. In her last months, despite being in so much pain, she did not complain but thanked her caregivers for helping her. Altogether, her life was dedicated to serving the Lord.

Services will be held at Beach Funeral Home (1689 South Patrick Drive in Satellite Beach, Florida 32937) on June 12 at 7pm, with calling hours 6pm. In September, memorial services will be held at New Life Church (2577 Tilton Road in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey 08234) and Crossroads Florence (828 Heights Boulevard in Florence, Kentucky 41042).
