Marilyn had worked at Ames in Yorkshire where she ran the jewelry counter. She had also babysat children in the area, worked for Motorola in Arcade, and for M & T Bank in Buffalo.
She was a member of the former Calvary Alliance Church in Arcade, now known as the CrossTown Alliance Church.
In addition to her husband, her children, Kenneth (Leslie) Hicks of Delevan, Pamela (James) Wilkinson of Delevan, Donald (Barbara) Hicks of South Alabama, and Richard Hicks of Batavia; siblings, Beverly Richards of Akron and Earl (LaRae) Danforth of Perrysburg, Ohio; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews survive Marilyn.
Her sister, Jane Jackson, preceded her in death.
Private visitation was held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the W. S. Davis Funeral Home in Arcade immediately followed by a private funeral service with Pastor Richard Perry officiating. Final interment is at Arcade Rural Cemetery in Arcade.
