Joann P. Harris, 85, of Galion passed away Thursday morning, June 14, 2018 at Mill Creek Nursing Home in Galion.
She was born September 18, 1932 in Sparta and was the daughter of Loy O. and Mary (Conway) Perfect. On November 23, 1950 she married Bobby Lee Harris, they were married nearly 59 years and he preceded her in death on October 8, 2009. Joann is also preceded in death by daughter Debra L. Gaede; son Jeffrey W. Harris; sister Betty G. Vaughn and two brothers Neil Perfect and Donald Perfect.
Joann worked for the former United Utilities, ITT and retired from the former North Electric in Galion. She was a life member of the AMVETS Post 1979, VFW Post 4329 and a member of the American Legion Scarbrough Post 243 ladies auxiliary all of Galion.
She is survived by grandchildren Jennifer Harris of Marion and Tyler Jeffrey Harris of Galion; former daughter-in-law Nancy Clum of Galion; former son-in-law Richard Gaede of Connecticut and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June19, 2018 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
