Howard Leroy Foreman
Howard Leroy Foreman, son of Verden and Lida (Roper) Foreman, was born October 31, 1917, in Lamoni, Iowa, and died February 13, 2007, at Regency Care Center in Norwalk, Iowa, at the age of 89 years.

Howard graduated from Lamoni High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, Howard lived with his aunt in California and worked in
the wheat fields. Howard then lived in Des Moines, caring for his father until his father's death.

Howard worked as a store decorator for a department store, at Meloyd's Formal Wear, and at Heck Ross Uniform in Des Moines. In his later years, Howard worked at the Des Moines Tourist and Convention Bureau at the Des Moines Airport, and he enjoyed visiting with people. Howard was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Howard and his nephew, Bob Jaeger, made their home together for the past 45 years. They lived in both Des Moines and Derby Iowa.

Preceding Howard in death were his parents and his sister Ethel Gardner.

Surviving are his two nephews, Bob Jaeger of St. Charles Iowa, and Ray Jaeger of Des Moines; great nephew Bob R. Jaeger of Amery, Wisconsin; and other relatives and friends.

Following cremation, burial will be at a later time at Rose Hill Cemetery in Lamoni, Iowa. Arrangements are through the Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home of Leon and Lamoni.
