Born in Cumberland County, she was the daughter Joyce Ann Turner and the late Johnnie Turner. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Ray Turner; and a grandmother Alma Turner.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Thomas McDonald; children, Faith O'Quinn and Sam A. McDonald; her mother; Joyce Ann Turner, all of Hope Mills; a half-sister, Rhonda Blackwell of Columbus, NC; a step-son, Josh Peters of Hope Mills, and many cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 18, 2018 at Breezewood Church, Legion Road, Hope Mills. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM, until 5:00 PM, Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services in Hope Mills.
Sharon will be laid to rest at 12:00 noon, Monday at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. Because of flower restrictions, the family has requested house arrangements or you can send memorials to Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services to help with funeral expenses.
Sharon loved everything VINTAGE and loved to go to estate sales. She also enjoyed thrift shopping, scrap booking, and gardening. At Christmas time she always had to have her Lego scenery. She loved her family and spending time with them. Her favorite place was the mountains. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
