Mrs. Adams was a native of New Orleans, a longtime resident in the Shreveport area, and a member of Ford Park Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George S. Sparlin and Annie Lillian Cunningham Sparlin; her siblings, Florence Nowling, Leona Herring, Robert Sparlin, and Mildred Parker; husband Otis A. Adams Jr.; daughters Nancy Adams Croke and Robin Adams Nolan; and grandson Jonathan E. Haggerty.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Wood (Darrell), Judith Daigle (Allan), Janet Girlinghouse (Marion), and Benjamin Adams (Terry); grandchildren Shawn Haggerty, Rebecca Chinn (Harry), Daniel Daigle (Lisa), Tommy Daigle, Jessica Lopez (Tony), Breanna Crosslin (Michael), Jacob (Katy), Caleb, and Luke Girlinghouse, Anna Mae, Dakota, Garret, and Kara Adams; great-grandchildren Jackson, Patrick, and William Chinn, James Girlinghouse, David Jr., Jonah and Abigail McCreery.
Mrs. Adams was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to anyone who needed her. She was proudly employed at Walmart for almost 30 years and was recognized and remembered by scores of people as “the Walmart Lady”.
Her family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at The Village at The Glen Retirement System for their kindness and care.
