Walter James Gough, passed away peacefully at home on June 12, 2018, at the age of 88. Walter was born and raised in San Francisco, California and graduated from St. Ignatius High School. He is survived by his wife, Colleen (Reilly) Gough, sons Michael Gough (Heidi), Peter Gough (Wendy), Joseph Gough (Terry), Patrick Gough, Christopher Gough, daughters Mary Odum (Dave), Anne Forsythe (David), and Kathleen Sacco (Mark). He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 11½great-grandchildren. A proud Veteran of the Korean War, Wally served in the First Marine Division. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Wally was kind, loyal, and dedicated to his family. Friendly, genuine and open, Wally enjoyed life as much as he enjoyed playing piano tunes from The Great American Songbook. He loved every kind of family party, cake and ice cream, John Wayne, the movies, popcorn, and driving anywhere in California.

Visitation at Casa Bonita Funeral Home, 2500 Cemetery Lane, Stockton, CA on Thursday, June 14, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of the Annunciation, 400 W. Rose St., Stockton, CA on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Committal will be private at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
