Our loss is Heaven's gain! Kay Frances Burroughs Wray, 66, of Stoneville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 1st, 2018, while surrounded by her loving family.

Left to cherish her in memory is her Stoneville High School sweetheart,and faithful husband of 48 years, Larry Booker Wray, their six children, Betsy Moore and husband, Mike, of Rural Hall, Scott Wray and wife, Lori, of Stoneville, Heather Smith and husband, Roger, of Stoneville, Kevin Wray and wife, Wendy, of Madison, Danielle Wray of Madison, Matthew Wray and wife, Brittany, of Stokesdale. Also left to treasure the memories of their very special Nana, are her grandchildren, Michael, Jenna, Jacob, Noah, Carter, Ashlyn, Andy, Sarah, Alaina, Willie and Molly Kate.



Kay is also survived by her parents, Samuel Eugene Burroughs, Sr and Mary Slaughter Burroughs, her brothers, Samuel Eugene Burroughs, Jr and wife, Adrienne, Tommy Burroughs and wife, Janie, her sisters, Lisa Trant and husband, Steve and Judy Burroughs.



She was preceded in death and is now rejoined with her sister, Margaret McAnally and grandparents, Clarie and Hallie Burroughs and Lloyd T. and Callie Slaughter.



A memorial celebration of Kay's life will be held on Monday, June 4th, 2018 at 4:00pm at Floyd Missionary Baptist Church in Eden, NC. There will be no formal visitation, but friends are welcome to join the family at their home at 4518 Price Road, Stoneville, NC, to help rejoice in the memory of Kay's life and how she touched the hearts of so very many.



As a retired teaching assistant and bus driver of Stoneville Elementary, in lieu of flowers, her family requests contributions be made on Kay's behalf to the Stoneville Elementary School Library, so that her love and compassion for children and books will continue on for generations.
