Jane Anne Scott, 73, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2018. She was born on April 13, 1945 to the late Kennard Bierman and Mary Thomas in Port Carbon, Pennsylvania. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Bierman.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband Richard, Sr.; three sons, Richard Jr. and his wife April, Jeffrey and his wife Valerie, and Michael and his wife Frances; five granddaughters, Madelyn, Samantha, Jessica, Isabella, and Rebecca; and sister, Gerri Freed.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018, from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Virginia Beach Free Will Baptist Church, 210 S. Witchduck Road in Virginia Beach. Funeral services will be held following the visitation with Dr. J.D. Norris, Jr. officiating. Graveside service will be held at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk. Altmeyer Funeral Home-Southside Chapel is handling the arrangements.
