John Taylor Brower, 84, passed away Saturday June 9, 2018 in Mackay, Idaho
He was born October 29, 1933 in Burley, Idaho, the 5th of 10 children born to Ariah Coats Brower and Lydia Brower. John graduated from Blackfoot High School in1952. For the next year he lived with his uncle and worked on the farm in Blackfoot.

In 1954 he married Arva Jean “Jeanie” Warner of Mackay, Idaho. They resided in Mackay where hi owned John’s Auto Repair Shop and worked part time in the mine. He was also an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He moved to California in 1966 where he met and married Travis Branscum in1970. In 1978 he met the love of his life, Arlene Burns. They were inseparable for many years until her passing.

In 2006 John moved back to Arco, Idaho where he resided until his passing. He loved to repair automobiles and small engines, tinker in his shop, hunt and fish. Spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews was his favorite pastime. He became very active in his church in 2016, devoting his life to church and family.

Surviving are his children, brothers, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Rayola Kay (Brower) Day, eight siblings, a grandson, Justin Day and a son-in-law, Bill Ricken.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Noon at the Mt. McCaleb Cemetery in Mackay, Idaho.
