Kelly Mathew Quinn was born August 13, 1951, in Hanford, California. He passed away on May 17, 2018, in Roseburg, Oregon, at the age of 66.

Kelly resided in California, until he moved to Riddle, Oregon, in his early 50s. He attended elementary school at Island District Elementary and Riverdale Elementary. Kelly graduated from Riverdale High School in 1969. He married Joyce Madruga and together they had their daughter Bonnie Jean (Quinn) Strutz.

He was in the United States Army serving in Vietnam, and finished his term at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri (1971-1973). In 2012, he was determined to be a “Vietnam-era herbicide-exposed Veteran” and was classified permanently disabled.

Kelly worked as a professional truck driver and owned his own trucking business. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Bass Club, where he fished in many bass tournaments. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing softball. Kelly had hobbies of knife sharpening, billiards, and loved helping others with their handyman repairs.

Kelly came to know the Lord after the trials and tribulations he experienced. He would share the gospel with whom he came in contact. Upon his moving to Oregon, he enjoyed panning for gold and target shooting. Kelly also loved fishing in the river and going on road trips to the mountains. Kelly was always helping those in need. He was a tinkerer at heart. His friends in Oregon fondly remember his loving and helping nature and quick wit. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Kelly was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Quinn; his mother, Darlene Wilcox; and half-sister, Patricia (Patty Wilcox) Tropea.

He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie (Mike) Strutz; his grandsons, Jacob and Tyler Strutz; his sister, Vernene (Bill) Fuerst; his half-brothers, Tom (Debbie) Wilcox and Paul Wilcox; and half-sister, Dianne Cotta; as well as his nieces and nephew.

Interment will be at the Roseburg Veterans Cemetery in Oregon, located at the Roseburg Medical Center on Friday, June 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church, 9125 13 ½ Avenue - Hanford, California, on Friday, June 29, 2018, at 10:00 a.m.
