Belle Vandemark, 32, of Falls, Minn., daughter of Mrs. Ethel Vandemark, living northwest of Spencer, died suddenly at a Fergus Falls Hospital last
Friday, December 28, 1934. She was teacher In a state institution at that place.
December 20 she was operated for the removal of the appendix. Influenza later set in, causing her untimely death.
Rites Wednesday
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Cobb funeral home with Rev. C. H. Vandersall, pastor of the Evangelical church northwest of Spencer, officiating. Special music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Klampe, Mrs. Otto Schoorman and Will
Heikens. They sang "We Are Going Down the Valley," "Life's Railway to Heaven," and "Does Jesus Care.Miss Lillian-Heikens played piano accompanied
Interment was in Riverside Cemetery

Belle Vandemark was born October 25, 1902, in Summit township, Clay county, at the present Vandemark home, 14 miles northwest of Spencer, the daughter of George S. and Ethel Clark Vandemark. She received her early education in the rural schools of the county and in her youth united with the Evangelical church where she was a faithful member, and an ardent worker in the Sunday school and in young people's organizations.
In 1921 she attended University Park college. She remained there for five years, preparing for work in the mission field. Owing to ill health, her plans were changed, and she went to Des Moines to take a commercial course. She was employed as a stenographer there for several years, after which she went to Fergus Falls to accept a position as industrial teacher. In a state institution. While at college she transferred her church membership to the Nazarene church.
Much Esteemed
Miss Vandemark was prominent in social, religious and church circles at Fergus Falls, and other places where she had resided. She was an esteemed friend among her associates, and possessed many fine traits of character. Her sudden passing is distinctly felt in many localities and especially in the community of her home northwest of the city.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Ethel Vandemark; five sisters, Iva, at home, Mrs. Chris Weiland and Mrs. Henry Sehoorman of the vicinity of her home, Mrs. Leonard Hanson of Spencer, Verna, at home and three brothers, Walter, Verne and Cecil, at home.
Two brothers and a twin sister died in infancy.
