Linda Christine "Criss" Ryan passed away Saturday afternoon, June 9, 2018. She was 68. Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, in the chapel of the Good Shepherd at University Christian Church, 2720 S. University Drive. Family and friends will gather in the church's parlor immediately following the service. She will be laid to rest privately next to her parents in Greenwood Memorial Park. Born May 30, 1950, Criss was the daughter of Thomas Charles and Martha Jane Etier Ryan. She grew up in Fort Worth where she graduated from the Fort Worth ISD. Criss was a loving and caring person who had an appreciation of music and art. Family was very important to her and she had a great fondness for her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Criss was well known for sharing stories and photos of family; doing so brought great pride and joy to her. A special thank you to Tonya Stevens, Candis Eversole, and the caring and compassionate staff at Bettyes Healthcare Network. Her family wants to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Community Hospice of Texas, located at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, for the care given and kindnesses shown to Criss during her stay there. Criss was preceded in death by her parents. Survived by her sisters, Cathy Anne Ryan of Fort Worth, Pamela Ryan Ehly and her husband, Stewart, of Iowa City, Iowa, and Martha Ryan Hicks and her husband, Rusty, of McGregor, Criss is survived by two nieces, two nephews and eight great-nieces and great-nephews; and other loving cousins and family.
