ELIZABETH KEZIAH "BETSY" MAYS/MAYES was born in 1814 in Wake County, NC. She married JESSE SHEPHERD MISE 12 Sep 1833 and they had 3 sons, Lewis Madison, Jesse Shepherd, and Sarah(which I think may be Samuel) as listed with her on the 1850 census. She died after 1860 in Washington County, Virginia. Some people say in 1866, but I have found no proof of that.

Jesse Shepherd Mize was the son of Keziah Mize - husband unknown. She appears to have had at least three children out of Wedlock. She did marry Jesse Siner. The three children may be his children.
Jesse P. Mize was born about 1815 in Mecklenburg County Virginia and died in Pittsylvania County Virginia between 1850 and 1860.
