Jean (Bertha) Lawson Lamb went to be with the Lord May 27, 2018, leaving behind a body that will suffer no more. She was born in Kingsport, TN, on August 13, 1951, to Howard and Buna Trent Lawson.

She was saved at an early age in Bible School. She was a member of West View Baptist Church in Rogersville, where she loved everyone, and was loved by them. She especially loved Bible School, because that's where she met Jesus.

She spent over 40 years working at IPCandL, and later at Mundet.

She leaves behind her loving husband, John Lamb, to whom she was married for over 47 years. She also leaves behind her sister, Brenda Helton and husband Ben; brother, Don Lawson; and many nieces and nephews. Her extended family included John's family, leaving behind Eula Henry, Francis (Paul) Pendergrass, Chesteen Russell, and Tom (Sheila) Lamb. She also loved all of our nieces and nephews and all the surviving family, including a special brother-in-law, Sonny Fletcher.

She loved all her friends and church family who visited her during her sickness, and everyone who cared and prayed for her.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Ray Mullins and Rev. Steve Trent officiating. Music will be provided by her loved ones, Chelsey Mullins Hensley, as well as Tom, Sheila and Amanda Lamb, all of whom she loved very much. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at Highland Cemetery. Lunch will be served at West View Baptist Church following the graveside service.
