Age 93, a son of the late Pete and Gertrude Schurz Engesser.
He worked as an operating engineer with Local #66 District 5 and farmed for many years. He was an active member, and former chief, of the Belle Valley Fire Department and a former director of the Pioneer Steam and Gas Engine Society. He enjoyed tractors and auctions.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Kinnear Engesser; one daughter, Shirley Stiner; and one grandson, Robert George Engesser.
Survivors include two sons, George Engesser, Jr. (Diana) and Thomas Engesser (Evelyn); three daughters, Nancy Erbin (Donald), Mary Pizzuto, and Betsy Moffett (Brian); one sister, Louise Anderson; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Burial in Wales Cemetery.
