MIDDLESBORO — Brenda G. Carey, age 61, Middlesboro, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville TN. She was born on June 7, 1955 in Georgetown, KY, the daughter of the late Jack Carey, Sr. and Emma Carey who survives. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a nurse practitioner in Middlesboro. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents: Nadeen Carey, Charlie Carey and Alma and George Kettenring.
She is survived by her mother, Emma Carey; sister, Jackie (Vasilios) Levakis; brother, Jack "Jay" (Micheline) Carey, Jr.; nieces and nephew: Anastasia Levakis, John Levakis, Jaymine Carey and Allyson Carey and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with Stephen Earle officiating. Interment will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jeff Moore, Charlie Moore, Gary Ferguson, Chuck Marsee, John Levakis, Vasilios Levakis, Tray Hubbard, and Dr. BT Thomas.
