Obituary for Charlene R. Dieckman
Charlene R. Dieckman, 86, of St. Anne passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. She was born on January 12, 1932 in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Johnson) Burk. Charlene married Wayne Dieckman on November 10, 1956.
Charlene was a happy homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a fan of the Chicago Cubs.
Charlene was the last founding member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Dieckman of St. Anne; one son Mark (Dawn) Dieckman of Kankakee; three grandchildren Gina Dieckman of MN, Graham (Kaitlyn) Dieckman of MN and Sydney Dieckman of Kankakee; a cousin Clarice (Carlo) Allegro; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Charles Burk III and two sisters Barbara Hicks and Joann Burk.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 4-8pm at Schreffler Funeral Home in Kankakee. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10:30am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Kankakee Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church and School.
