North Ogden - Richard Dale Pipkin, our beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on his 66th wedding anniversary, August 15, 2017, at the age of 91.

He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on January 17, 1926, to Horace Earl Pipkin and Alta Whitney. He married Darlene Luck in the Salt Lake Temple on August 15, 1951.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many ward and stake positions. He also served a North Central States Mission.

Surviving are his daughter, Peggy (Paul) Crezee; and two sons, Kerry (Lynda) Pipkin, and Jeff Pipkin; a grandson who he raised, Kyle Pipkin, 12 additional grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren; also his six sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife, his brother Jim, his son Richard Brent, and two grandsons; Richard Neil Pipkin and Joseph Brent Pipkin.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd in Ogden and prior to services on Thursday, from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2017, at the Pleasant View 2nd Ward, 250 W. Elberta Dr.
