Michael Raymond Kimmel, age 58, passed away June 6, 2018 in Colorado Springs.

He was born October 13, 1959 in Altus, Oklahoma and raised by his grandparents Latress and Harry Williams in Roswell, New Mexico before relocation to Corinth, Kentucky. Mike spend two years in JR ROTC before graduating from Grant County High School in 1977. Mike enlisted in the USAF at the age of 20 and proudly served as an Aircraft Mechanic specializing in F4 Jet Aircraft from 1980-1992 when he cross trained to be an OTA at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonia, Texas. Mike served as an OTA until his honorable discharge in 1996. After his discharge Mike worked as an OTA/working Rehab Director in nursing homes. Specializing in geriatric care until he medically retired in 2012. After retiring Mike volunteered at C and W Lawn Equipment in Hugo, Oklahoma as a master mechanic until health forced him to stop inn 2016. Mike also volunteered as a cook for celebrate recovery at First Baptist Church, Hugo, Oklahoma for 2 years and sang in the choir. Mikes passion has always been golf. He has placed and won tournaments, scrambled and leagues. Mike proved himself as a golfer in 2011 when he qualified for the Oregon Open.

Mike is survived by his wife Gabriella Kimmel of Colorado Springs, daughter Sophia Kimmel of Sweet Home, Oregon, daughter and son in law Tiffany and Ryan Hilby, two granddaughters, Chloe and Sophia Hilby of Colorado Springs, one brother and sister in law Kevin and Stephanie Kimmel. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family members.
