Virginia Louise Ash, daughter of the late Robert Enoch Curtis and Alice Mahulda Garrison Curtis was born on July 28, 1930 in Conran, Mo and departed this life on June 10, 2018 at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Mo at the age 87 years.

Mrs. Ash was a former employee at the Puxico Nursing Center where she was an LPN and she also worked at other nursing homes in the area. She was a member of the Dudley Community Church in Dudley, Mo. She served as Pastor’s Wife at the Vanduser Assembly of God and at Fisk, Mo.

Survivors include: one son, A. Lynn Ash (Michelle) of Dexter, Mo; by two daughters, Deborah Ash of Puxico, Mo and Cathey Monehan of Cape Girardeau, Mo; by two brothers, Robert Curtis of Dexter, Mo and Charles Curtis of McClure, Ill; by one sister, Janeth Moss of San Antonio, Tx; by four grandchildren, Richard Ash of Dexter, Mo, Lance Ash of Sikeston, Mo, Christopher Monehan of Cape Girardeau, Mo and Tammy Miner of Fenton, Mo; by two step-grandchildren, Ty Farris and Shaylan Sandlin both of Poplar Bluff, Mo; by fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Claude Curtis and one sister Bernice Davis.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 with Rev. A. Lynn Ash and Rev. Doyle Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.
