Terry was the son of Eugene and Irene Baker Rogers. He graduated from Polytechnic High School in San Francisco in 1961. In 1963, Terry earned an associate’s degree in the Arts from City College-San Francisco.

Terry married Judy Wirth in July of 1991. They enjoyed more than 15 years together before her death on March 9, 2007.

Terry joined the US Coast Guard in 1964, serving for over 23 years before he retired in 1987 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He retired from civil service with the Coast Guard in 2003.

He had a great interest in railroads, music, travel and photography. His interest in photography led him to becoming a prize winning, professional photographer whose work was published in numerous magazines, including KANSAS! Magazine. Terry was much loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include Terry’s step-daughters, Carrie Salot (Clark), and Janet Studebaker (Jeff), four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; cousins, Timothy McNeil and Molly Burton, a niece and two nephews. Terry was also preceded in death by his brother, Eugene and sister, Susan McBride, step-son, William Wirth, step-daughter, Terry Wirth and a great-grandson, Adrian Rodriguez.
