Edith Catherine Barber , 90, of Washington passed away June 9, 2018 at her residence under the loving care of her family and Housecalls Hospice.
She was born on January 16, 1928 in Reedy, WV and was the daughter of the late Burleigh C. and Della V. Nally Gray.
Edith was a member of the Washington United Methodist Church for sixty-one years, member of the Washington Community Building Association and Washington Homemakers. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, bird watching and Oak ridge Boys concerts.
Edith is survived by her children, Darin J. Barber of Massillon, OH, Jill C. Barber of Huntington and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, Robert E. Barber, sisters Ester Born, Grace Gray, Mary Naugle, Doris Gray and brothers James, Ross, Clarence Gray and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018, 11:00 am at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg with Thomas McDowell, officiating.
Burial will follow at SUNSET MEMORIAL GARDENS-MAUSOLEUM.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, 2018, 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
