Dr. Cheryl Ruth Lombard, 69, of Boca Raton passed away peacefully at Hospice By The Sea (Trustbridge) in Boca Raton on May 12, 2018.  Cheryl was born and raised in Arlington, MA and moved to Florida to continue her college education after receiving her B.A. from Gordon College in Wenham, MA.  Cheryl then received her M.Ed., Ed.S., and Ed.D. from Florida Atlantic University. Cheryl's distinguished career included serving as Director of Guidance and Upper School Principal at Boca Raton Academy for ten years before serving as Assistant Principal at Boca Raton Community High School from 1985 until her retirement in 2013.  Cheryl is survived by her loving father, Leon Lombard, Sr.; her devoted brother, Leon "Buck" Lombard, Jr., and his wife, Nadine; her beloved nieces (Leah Sylvester and her husband, Robert; Tara Lamont and her husband, Jake; and Elena Hogan and her husband, Thomas); and eight cherished great-nieces and great-nephews. Cheryl was predeceased by her loving mother, Shirley (Johnson)Lombard, in 2016.  Cheryl's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 19, at 11:00 AM at Grace Community Church, 600 W. Camino Real, Boca Raton.  A memorial service will also be held at a later date in NH.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Cheryl's memory may be made to Trustbridge Hospice Foundation, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
