Anita was born on April 30, 1939, in Washington, D.C., a daughter of Barbara (Hills) Penny and the stepdaughter of Clarence J. Penny.
She attended local schools, graduating from R.W. Traip Academy in 1957.
She worked for New England Telephone in Boston, Mass., and part time for many years at Valles Steak House in Kittery. She retired from the Morley Company in Portsmouth in 2002.
Her stepfather and twin son, Bruce, predeceased her.
Anita enjoyed traveling in their motor home with her husband, her home, and flower gardens brought her great joy, she also enjoyed reading and crafts. The most important thing to her was time spent with her family.
