BAXTER- Funeral services for Morris Dewayne Carr, 56 of Baxter, will be Monday, June 11 at 11 AM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Smellage Memory Gardens in the Boma Community.

Mr. Carr died Thursday, June 7, 2018 in DeKalb County, TN in an automobile accident.

He was born November 26, 1961 in Putnam County to the late Morris Eugene and Evelyn Davis Carr.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step-brother Jeff Papagna.

He was a heavy equipment operator and blaster in pipeline construction.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Mallory and Ben Fox of Baxter, son and daughter-in-law Dane and Andrea Carr of Baxter, former wife of 28 years and mother of his children Nanette Watts Carr of Baxter, grandchildren: Brynn, Chloe and Lincoln Carr and another grandbaby on the way, step-mother Jane Carr, step-sister Kim Papagna both of Baxter.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Chaffin, Jeremy Davis, Brent Watts, Kent Ashburn, David Nabors and J.D. Burgess.

Family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 8 PM and after 9 AM Monday at the funeral home.
