Karen Sue Owen, 61, of Louisa, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born February 5, 1952, in Charlottesville, Virginia, the daughter of the late Richard and Marion Gardner. Karen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gary Owen; and their three daughters, Kaitlin Shelton and her husband, Alvin, and twins, Amanda and Jennifer Owen; and two grandsons, Treyvonne and Vonnetrey Shelton.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Ed Leake officiating. Viewing and visitation will be held from 6 until 7 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home. Flowers are welcome.
