MABRA, Amanda Frances 95, of Springfield, passed away at the Ohio Masonic Home on Monday morning, June 4, 2018. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky on December 23, 1922. Amanda worked at WPAFB during WWII and in 1993, she retired from DESC following a combined 38 years of service. She was a charter member of La Femme de Charitie' which was founded in 1947. Amanda loved the outdoors, gardening, dancing and traveling the world. She is survived by a daughter, B. M. Mabra of Kettering, Ohio; son, B. W. (Carolyn) Mabra of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren, D. M. Mabra of Yellow Springs, M. R. Mabra of Austin, Texas, J. Dunlap of Atlanta, and Y. Mabra of Atlanta; two great grandchildren, M. Payne and D. Payne of Atlanta; three great-great grandchildren, D. Payne Jr, K. Payne and C. M. Payne; sister-in-law J. Mabra of Springfield, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Boyd Thomas Mabra in 1977. Bishop Ronald Logan will preside at a celebration of Amanda's life, which will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, 830 N. Limestone St., Springfield, OH. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
