He was predeceased by his mother, Cleo Thompson; and grandmother, Nannie Horne.
Lynn retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Manning; children, Chip (Larissa) Manning, Brad (Kim) Manning and Ashley Manning; grandkids, Katlen, Devin, Brandon, Lexy, Caiden, Rylen, Jacob, Aiden, Cassie, Truleigh, Conner, Christian, Charlotte, Kayleigh, Jason and Scottie; great-granddaughters, Bella and Lillie; brother, Billy (Brenda) Manning; mothers-in-law, Martha Strickler and Sue (Ken) Lawson; brother-in-law, George (Penny) Lawson; sisters-in-law, Sandy Cox and Brenda (Dennis) Flack; and his four-legged friend, Red.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel with Pastor Joey Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton, Va. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel.
