Surviving were her children, Valerie Cauthen (Donald), Stacey Cooke, Charlie Cooke (Robbin), Wanda Cooke, and Gloria Jones (Lawrence); siblings, Josephine Porter, LC Powell, Sr., Cynthia Rennick, Laura Stukes and Rose Gillie; grandchildren, Felicia Dinkins, Veronica Cauthen, Shane Payne, Marcus Payne, Latevia Payne, Charlesia Cooke, Brice Richardson, Lauren Richardson, Jarvis Cooke, Kenquanda Cooke, Xavieonna Fletcher, Cameron Jones, Laniya Jones and Lawerence Jones III; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Teresa McCray; and brother, Ernest Powell Jr.
Funeral service for Ethel P. Cook was held on Friday, June 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Broom Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
