Jacqueline Hope Turner Ward, 56, passed away at her home in Tiger on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on October 22, 1959, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Harold and Hildegarde (Strychalski) Turner and lived the greater part of her life in South Florida before moving to Georgia. She and her husband, Russ, owned and operated "Jackie’s Seafood and Grill" in Clayton, GA. She was a member of New Life Church.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Harold Turner. She is survived by her husband, Russell Ward, her son and daughter, Brett Lockwood and Brooke (Dave) Lestock, her granddaughter, Haylee Lockwood, her mother, Hildegarde Turner, her sisters Denise (Kevin) Flanagan, Kathy (Randy) Elmore, Alexis (Doug) Werner, and her stepsons, Russell G. Ward and Robert J. Ward, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jackie has been cremated per her wishes. Her request was for family and friends to come together and celebrate her life instead of mourn her passing. Her ashes were scattered in the Atlantic Ocean near Edisto Island, SC and Tavernier, FL, respectively.
