Claire Robbins Thomas passed away on June 2, 2018, after a lengthy illness. Born on the Monterey Peninsula on November 15, 1962, to the late Joseph and Augusta “Norma” (Kunz) Robbins, she lived her entire life in the Salinas-Monterey area.
She attended school at St. Mary of the Nativity Elementary School, Sacred Heart School, Notre Dame High School, and Hartnell Junior College. Her employment history included Bank of America, various bookkeeping, auditing, proofreading positions, Pharmacy Technician, but her favorite job was being a creative consultant at Stampbug.
She had a great love of animals, especially cats, dogs, and horses. Sharp witted, she would engage in lively political and religious discussions for hours on end. Her love of music knew no bounds.
Claire is survived by her ex-husband, Mark Thomas, her children, Stephanie Thomas of San Francisco; Daniel Thomas of Salinas; siblings Theresa Robbins (Thomas Stockton) of Montgomery Creek, CA; Rita Miller (Phillip) of San Jose, CA; Sharon Robbins of Lincoln, CA; John Robbins (Larissa) of Lakeland, TN; and Mark Robbins (Penny) of Medford, OR.
The family wishes to thank Mark Thomas for the care he gave Claire even as her health declined.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Queen of Heaven Chapel, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA. 93907.
